Minute Steak is a pre-tenderized, thin cut that can be used for everyday meals. Due to the thin nature of the cut, minute steaks can be cooked very quickly making them an ideal option for a quick meal.
This delicious cut is sliced to less than ¼-inch thick from the sirloin or round steak. To avoid overcooking, Minute Steaks are best cooked on a skillet and slightly browned on both sides.

Sauteed Minute Steaks
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 beef cube steaks (5 ounces each)
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon ground mustard
Directions
- In a large resealable plastic bag, combine flour, garlic salt, and pepper. Add steaks, one at a time, and shake to coat.
- In a large skillet coated with cooking spray, cook steaks in oil over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side or until no longer pink. Remove and keep warm. Stir in the remaining ingredients; heat through. Serve with steaks.
