Filet Mignon (Tenderloin Filet)
Filet Mignon (Tenderloin Filet)
**Please note that weight listed on packaging is in pounds, not ounces**
Our Filet Mignon, also known as Tenderloin Filet, is the most tender cut of beef you can find. This lean yet succulent cut has a buttery texture that works well with any cooking method. Each package contains one filet labeled by weight in pounds, but we have also included the size in ounces to make it easier for you to choose.
Filet Mignon comes from the Loin Primal, located below the backbone, which is also home to other popular beef cuts such as Strip Steak, T-Bone, and Porterhouse Steak. While this cut is versatile, it is best prepared on the grill or under a broiler.
For elegant meals or special occasions, Filet Mignon is the perfect choice. You can try it in classic recipes like Beef Wellington or simply season and grill it to perfection. Another option is to wrap it in bacon for a decadent twist on this already luxurious cut of beef.
What is the difference between Organic Grass Fed & Finished and Steakhouse Beef?
USDA Organic Grass Fed & Finished Beef
Certified USDA Organic cattle are raised on 100% Organic Grass from weaning while grazing in open pastures, never in a feedlot. This results in very lean beef with little to no fat content. Always antibiotic and hormone-free.
Prosper Steakhouse Beef
Cattle are fed an optimized mixture of grass, organic grass, corn, and distillers corn grain. Raised and marketed for high-end steakhouses, you can enjoy the same top-notch quality at home from Prosper Meats with our Prosper Steakhouse cuts. Always hormone-free.
