Storage and Handling Guidelines

At Prosper Meats, we take great care to ensure that our frozen meat products reach you in optimal condition. Please follow these guidelines to ensure proper storage and handling of your Prosper Meats order:

1. Shipping with Dry Ice

  • We ship our frozen meat products using dry ice to ensure they arrive at your doorstep frozen solid, as though they came straight from our freezers.
  • Please use caution when handling packages containing dry ice.
    • Avoid opening packages in enclosed spaces without proper ventilation.
    • Handle excess dry ice with care to prevent direct contact with skin or eyes.

2. Unpacking Your Order

  • Each product from Prosper Meats is individually vacuum-sealed and labeled accordingly for easy identification.
  • To maintain the integrity of the vacuum seal during transit, we wrap each item again with paper.
  • Upon receiving your order, carefully remove the paper wrapping from each item to verify accuracy and ensure the vacuum seal is intact.

3. Proper Freezer Storage

  • Once unpacked, promptly transfer your frozen meat products to the freezer.
  • Store products at a freezer temperature of 0°F (-18°C) or below to maintain quality and safety.
  • Use a freezer thermometer to monitor and ensure the freezer maintains the recommended temperature.

4. Handling Thawed Products

  • If any product arrives partially thawed, do not refreeze. Instead, cook the product immediately or refrigerate and consume within 1-2 days.
  • Thaw frozen products in the refrigerator or under cold running water. Avoid thawing at room temperature to prevent bacterial growth.

5. Monitoring Product Quality

  • Before cooking, visually inspect each product for any signs of damage or irregularities.
