Half Beef (Side of Beef)

Select Your Type of Beef

** Accepting Orders TODAY to be ready for Shipping/Pickup in 4-8 weeks **

Love the selection of a whole beef order, but don't have the freezer space, then our half beef option is the best for you. Great for small families, the variety and cost savings compared to buying individual cuts to feed the whole group are winners.

Freezer space needed?

Minimum of 8 cubic feet (it is a lot of meat)!

How many pounds of beef is a half cow?

Organic cows will yield around *220 lbs of beef (avg $12.16/lb)

Steakhouse cows will yield around *240 lbs of beef (avg $7.92/lb)

*Final Order Total Weight will be greater than or equal to estimated yield, never less than.

**Bones are NOT included but can be added on when our representative calls you after your order is placed.

What cuts will I receive?

The cuts usually consist of 20-25% Steaks, 25-35% Roasts, Stew Meat & Short Ribs, and 40-50% Ground Beef, Patties and Ground Chuck. That means you can get premium cuts such as Filet Mignon and T-Bones for as low as $7.10 a pound.

Offal (heart, liver, tongue, and oxtail) are included in your order unless you tell us not to include it. We will call and email you after your order is placed to confirm.

Since some cuts only produce 1 per animal, these rare cuts may not exist in your Half order.  We do our best to split these single items between the two halves so both receive the same pounds of meat. Each animal differs, but our efforts to raise the best animal possible ensure you are going to get the best cuts possible.

*Bones are NOT included but can be purchased as an add on after you place your order (a representative will be calling you).

Can I customize the standard cuts?

Yes! After you place your order, a representative will be reaching out to you to confirm this.

When will I receive my beef?

4-8 weeks because we don't process Half Beef orders until they are placed. After placing your Half Beef order, a representative from Prosper Meats will contact you to discuss any preference options that may be available for processing your order and to explain the expected timeline for delivery or pick-up of your order.

How is the meat packaged?

Every cut is flash-frozen, vacuum sealed and labeled for your convenience.

What is the difference between grass fed and finished and steakhouse beef?

Organic Grass Fed & Finished Beef (Certified USDA Organic)

Certified USDA Organic cattle are raised on 100% Organic Grass from birth while grazing in open Colorado pastures, never in a feed lot. Very lean beef with little to no fat content. Always Antibiotic and Hormone free.

Prosper Steakhouse Beef (Steakhouse)
